For the love of peanut butter

I made the easiest 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies last week and it got me thinking about writing an ode to peanut butter: one of the most delicious foods ever in my opinion.

I've been making PB&J for Robbie pretty consistently for the last few months and it's a lunch he will usually eat (MR. Picky). One of my all time favorite's is peanut butter on a plain bagel. I don't know why the bagel makes that much more of difference than bread but let me tell you it does. YUM! Add some homemade raspberry jam = heaven.

I loved peanut butter toast with honey or bananas when I was pregnant. I also tried a fluffernutter which was interesting LOL. Kyle eats peanut butter and cheese sandwiches. I've never tried but sounds gross! I love peanut butter with apples or celery. The possibilities are endless!

Of course, peanut butter ice cream or treats are the ultimate way to indulge. I've shared this peanut butter cup cookie recipe many times and it's a family favorite/tradition. Trees, bunnies, pumpkins...classic. Reese's Pieces. PB M&Ms are my favorite M&M hands down. Another random treat that is surprisingly delicious is a rice krispie treat with peanut butter layer on top from Kwik Trip. They are humongous.

Who knew there was so much to write about peanut butter ;) Without further ado...here is the easiest cookie recipe you'll ever make.

3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup peanut butter

Mix together well and scoop dough onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 12-16 minutes. It really depends on the size of your cookies for this recipe. I made my on the bigger side and they definitely took closer to 16 minutes. Eat WARM. Yuuuuum!
